BACK TO SCHOOL Face Shields
1st May 2020
Face shields are a simple solution that, if implemented correctly and widely, will have a major impact on slowing down the transmission of the COVID-19 virus. As South Africa prepares for learners to return to school in June the health and safety of teachers, school staff and learners has become a priority.
Putting measures in place
- Classes sprayed with a disinfectant spray.
- All learners and staff have their temperatures screened in the mornings before entering the school.
- Learners and staff must wash and disinfect their hands upon entering the school, entering and leaving a class, and before and after breaks with disinfectant hand wash or hand sanitiser.
- Learners and staff wear face shields that must be taken home and disinfected for the next day.
- Learners and staff wear cloth masks to cover their mouths and noses when not wearing a shield. These must be washed and ironed at the end of every day to ensure good hygiene.
- Learners must be educated about social distancing protocols. COVID-19 Prevention Posters and floor stickers help learners keep their distance from each other.
Back to School Protective Face Shields are re-usable, easily disinfected and have a flexible elastic strap for comfort. Made with Food Grade clear plastic which is easy to keep clean and lightweight to travel with, the shield provides a clear barrier in front of one’s face that doesn’t obstruct vision and allows learners the freedom to interact with their class safely.
Azulwear.com supplies bright and fun Plastic Face Shields for all age groups, making it easier for children to adhere to current COVID-19 regulations. This may be our best intervention for preventing transmission in the community.
